Move our Mission Campaign

In order to meet the vital needs of sheltering homeless men, women and children in our community, the Rome Rescue Mission is transforming our 14,000 square foot building on 280 east Dominick street to include three new shelters, counseling rooms, vocational training, private tutoring, and a health clinic; that will also include our journey to health program. Our ability to address the whole person will advance the outcomes and success of our endeavor. Once complete, we will have the ability to shelter 45 men, women, and children in the new facility.

Our Transitional Housing program affords residents an opportunity to live in a secure, drug, and alcohol-free environment while obtaining higher education or vocational training. Three units and/or seven beds are available and residents stay from one to two years. Furthermore, we plan to renovate our 413 building;
adding two apartments to our transitional housing program and bringing our housing capacity to 20 – 25. “We have an opportunity to change the face of poverty in our community, build futures and leave a path for success for generations”. says ‘Matt Miller Executive Director.
