The mission has a food pantry and is always grateful for food donations. We accept non-perishable items anytime. Perishable items are also appreciated. Please call the mission for more information.

Emergency Shelter

The mission has a 14-bed emergency shelter for women and children in need. We also have a 6-bed emergency shelter for men.

Transitional Housing

The mission also provides short-term and long-term housing for mission clients.

Children and Youth Services

Children find something to eat and a safe place to be. They can also find help with schoolwork, cooking skills, civics, participate in arts and crafts or youth group events.

Bible Study, Chapel Service and Counseling Services:

The mission offers, but does not require, bible studies. Many of our clients enjoy studying God's word together. Mission clients are also encouraged to attend chapel service in which anyone is welcome. Various counseling services are provided for our clients as well.

Education and Skill Building

The mission provides computer skills courses, adult tutoring, cooking, budgeting, employment readiness and more.

Testimonials

"I came to the shelter scared and alone. The people here really care about me! I never knew that people who didn't even know me could care about me before I did..."

Mary

"When I first came to the Rome Rescue Mission, I was scared because my mom and I had no place to live. It wasn’t long before I realized that I was in a great place. Today, I feel safe for the first time..."
